Jorian van Schagen
“Health is not a luxury – it’s a right.”
For years, Jorian van Schagen has dedicated himself to promoting sexual health, for people of all ages. He knows that talking about sex, prevention, and health can be uncomfortable, but that’s exactly why it’s so important. Everyone deserves the freedom to love, safely and in good health
PrEPnu & Aidsfonds Soa Aids Netherlands
Why he does this?
As a person and as an ambassador, Jorian sees how stigma, shame, and misinformation often stand in the way of healthy choices. When young people don’t have access to prevention, or when older generations feel unseen, he steps in to create change. For him, open conversations, proper education, and access to care aren’t privileges, they’re basic human rights.
His role
Jorian is one of the faces of PrEPnu and Aidsfonds Soa Aids Netherlands.
At PrEPnu, he works to make PrEP, the HIV prevention pill, accessible and stigma-free. Through campaigns like “I take it, do you?” - I swallow, do you? he helps normalize prevention and empower people to take charge of their health.
With Aidsfonds, he supports the mission of a world without AIDS, where sexual health and rights belong to everyone, free from fear and discrimination.
He’s active in community outreach, education, and campaigns, speaking up about topics that are often left in the dark, from LGBTQI+ health to sex work, aging, and youth empowerment. His mission: to make sexual health open, inclusive, and accessible to all.
PrEPnu & Aidsfonds Soa Aids Netherlands
PrEPnu provides reliable information about PrEP, connects people with care providers, and breaks down barriers to access. Their goal: to make PrEP a standard part of sexual healthcare for everyone who needs it.
Aidsfonds works nationally and internationally toward a world without AIDS, ensuring equal rights and access to healthcare for all. They fund research, support communities most affected by HIV, and advocate for policies that protect everyone’s health and dignity.
A message from Jorian
Jorian encourages everyone to ask questions, to talk, to care, for themselves and for each other.
Sexual health belongs to all of us, no matter your age, identity, or background.
With PrEPnu and Aidsfonds by his side, he stands for accessibility, openness, and equality.
Because health is not a luxury, and sexual wellbeing is a right.
