HoMotiv8

Andy Gardiner launched HoMotiv8, a movement dedicated to creating queer-safe spaces through dance and fitness. Recognizing that many LGBTQIA+ individuals struggle to find inclusive and affirming environments in the fitness world, HoMotiv8 seeks to redefine what fitness means, turning it into a source of empowerment, connection, and mental well-being.

Within the LGBTQIA+ community, traditional fitness settings can often feel unwelcoming due to exclusion, heteronormativity, or a lack of understanding. These barriers frequently lead to reduced participation in physical activity, intensifying mental health challenges already prevalent in the community. HoMotiv8 was designed to change this reality by offering a fitness experience that celebrates individuality, diversity, and pride. Through movement, music, and mindfulness, the initiative uses physical expression as a tool for personal growth and emotional healing.

The campaign offers two unique pathways to participation, allowing individuals to choose what best fits their comfort and lifestyle. HoMotiv8 LIVE delivers in-person sessions where participants can experience the collective energy of group workouts, build confidence, and form genuine community connections. In contrast, HoMotiv8 @HOME provides an invite-only digital space, private, safe, and inclusive, for those who prefer or require a more intimate experience. This online format makes queer-friendly fitness accessible to people living with social anxiety, busy schedules, or in geographically isolated areas, ensuring that no one is left out.

At its core, HoMotiv8 is more than just a fitness program, it’s a movement built on visibility, acceptance, and shared strength. By blending dance, exercise, and community support, Andy Gardiner empowers participants to reconnect with their bodies, nurture mental health, and embrace their authentic selves.

Through HoMotiv8, fitness becomes a form of self-expression and solidarity, a joyful, inclusive space where every body and every identity can move freely and belong fully.
