Education, Empowerment, and the Power of Unity

During his time as an ambassador for Checkpoint Denmark, Archie Quezada has become a powerful voice for sexual health awareness and LGBTQ+ empowerment across the country.

Checkpoint, part of AIDS-Fondet, is a nationwide initiative offering free, anonymous, and inclusive HIV and STI testing, counseling, and guidance with dedicated clinics in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, and Aalborg.

Through his work with Checkpoint, Archie has travelled across Denmark, meeting people from every walk of life, from young queer individuals finding their confidence, to couples and communities seeking knowledge and safety. His goal has always been simple yet profound: to ensure that everyone knows they have a safe space a place where they are welcomed, supported, and respected, no matter who they are or who they love.

Archie’s mission goes far beyond testing or counseling. For him, it’s about transforming awareness into action, and stigma into strength. His work at Checkpoint embodies his belief that sexual health is not just about the body,  it’s about dignity, equality, and empowerment.

“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.”

This quote has become Archie’s guiding principle. He applies it daily — not only to become the best version of himself, but to help others do the same. Because for him, knowledge means power, and power shared through compassion creates real change.

His message to the world is one of unity and growth:

“The more we unite, the more powerful we become. And the more we learn, the better we can be — for ourselves, for each other, and for this world.”

Through Checkpoint, Archie continues to lead by example, proving that education, visibility, and empathy can build bridges of understanding and safety across communities.
